Unless you live near year-round warm waters, it is finally boating season! Here are some things to remember before hitting the open water:

• Check your equipment on board to be sure it is all operating properly. An engine check or tune-up is recommended to insure peak performance. Here is a comprehensive Spring Checklist for Boaters, courtesy of Discover Boating*: http://www.discoverboating.com/resources/article.aspx?id=117
• If you recently obtained a captain’s license, let us know. Most of our carriers offer a discount for licensed captains.
• Before launching your watercraft, make sure it is properly covered for liability and property damage. If you have any questions regarding your current Watercraft insurance policy, please give us a call.
• Please remember to dust off those life jackets and always practice safe boating & sailing.

Have a great boating season!
