Peter E. Carlson, Jr.
President, CIC, CAPI
Peter began his insurance career after graduating from Gettysburg College with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Business Administration. As Agency President, Peter focuses his expertise in advising successful individuals, families and business owners in all lines of insurance.
Peter has served on the Agent’s Advisory Council for numerous insurance companies over the years lending his expertise to better serve their mutual clients’ needs. Peter is a licensed Property & Casualty Agent and Broker and a Life & Health Agent. He is a member of The Society of Certified Insurance Counselors (CIC) through the National Alliance and a Certified Advisor of Personal Insurance (CAPI) through Wharton’s Aresty Institute of Executive Education.
Peter currently serves as Chairman of the Greenwich Chamber of Commerce, Vice-Chair and Board Member for the Metro New York North Chapter of the American Red Cross, Treasurer and Board Member of the Fairfield Business Network, and Board Member of the Greenwich Old Timers Athletic Association. He is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Greenwich Country Club, the Leadership Council for the Greenwich YWCA and past President of the Greenwich Jaycees.

Douglas N. Carlson
Executive Vice President, CPIA
Doug joined Carlson & Carlson in 1978 starting in the claims department and moving his way up the ranks in the firm, first heading up the commercial lines department and now serving as one of the three managing partners.
Doug is a licensed property and casualty agent and broker and a Certified Professional Insurance Agent (CPIA). Doug’s work with Carlson & Carlson clients is primarily focused in commercial and personal lines.
Doug attended Roger Williams College in Bristol, Rhode Island. He is current Treasurer and past President of Greenwich Lions Club. He is also a past President of the Rocky Point Club, among other positions, and currently serves on the Board’s Neighbor Relations Committee.

Donald M. “Tripp” Freeman, III
Executive Vice President, CAPI
Donald M. “Tripp” Freeman, III, joined Carlson & Carlson in 2003, bringing a decade of work in the Financial Advisory and Risk Management business with him. At Carlson & Carlson, he serves as Treasurer and Executive Vice President as well as a Producer for Property & Casualty, Life, Health, LTC and Group Benefits, and works closely with CPA’s, Attorney’s and Financial Advisor’s to ensure clients’ assets are protected appropriately. He is a member of the Professional Insurance Agents Association (PIA) and earned the Certified Advisor of Personal Insurance (CAPI) designation through Wharton’s Aresty Institute of Executive Education. Tripp is a licensed Property & Casualty Agent and Broker and a Life & Health Agent.
Tripp is a 1993 graduate of DePauw University, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science. He is active in community service organizations and has served on the boards of directors of River House (Greenwich Adult Day Care), Rocky Point Club and the 1st Congregational Church of Darien. Tripp is currently serving on the Board at DePauw University and Stamford Branch of the World Affairs Forum while continuing to volunteer with many local charities.
